During his employment career, Mr. Joachim worked as a research assistant and computer intern at St. Francis Xavier University, an SAP Business Consultant at IBM Canada, and Ad operations specialist with Canwest Interactive, a division of Canwest Global Communications Corp.
During his career at St. Francis Xavier University, Mr. Joachim was involved in various research activities with the Information Systems Department. The researches are An Assessment of Lean Adoption in Canadian Manufacturing Firms: A Regional Perspective of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick”, “Managing Production System Flexibility in High-technology Manufacturers: Best Practices from Canadian and American Computer and Electronics Industrial Sectors”, and “Retaining IT Professionals in Atlantic Canadian Small Towns” .
the finalizing of an E-Business Book titled "E-Business - A Canadian Perspective for a Networked World. In addition, Mr. Joachim created and maintained professors' websites, databases and provided consultation on the use of various computer utilities and applications.
During his employment at IBM, Mr. Joachim was involved in SAP Center of Excellence project in which he prepared powerpoint presentations on the various functionalities of SAP. The powerpoints were used as guides and tools to educate IBM clients.
Mr. Joachim implemented an SAP functionality known as "LSMW" (Legacy System Migration Workbench) used to upload legacy data from the client's legacy systems.
Mr. Joachim also helped in the writing of contract proposal. Finally, Mr. Joachim attended a one month SAP training in Philadelphia. The focus on the training was the SAP module MM (Materials Management).
Mr. Joachim is currently focused in entrepreneurship by exploiting his various skills and experiences to create profitable businesses.
